We are both very excited and proud that within only six years, Isla Retreats, has climbed the ranks and made it to Trip Advisor’s Top 10 resorts on Isla Mujeres. Many long days, loads of hard work, and an incredible staff who we value as family, helped us get here. We can’t wait for what’s to come!
Isla Retreats was envisioned to provide what we value in an adults-only hotel: tranquility, and a unique Caribbean-Mexican experience. At Isla Retreats, our guests are sheltered and pampered in order to relax, savor the lovely island, and recharge. Our common area has been tailored to provide a peaceful ambiance featuring tropical gardens, a heated, salt-water swimming pool with waterfalls, beach chairs and umbrellas, and a mayan-inspired palapa. By keeping the grounds as green as possible and meticulously selecting local tropical plants and coconut palms, we believe we ensured a harmonious merge with nature, rather than displacing it.

**If all 6 villas are rented by the same group/family, children are more than welcome. Isla Retreats is a great place to celebrate family reunions, wedding parties, yoga or work retreats, plus much more!

Location and Neighborhood
Isla Retreats is located five minutes from downtown and Playa Norte, at the beginning of the safe and charming neighborhood, Salina Chica - home to the Bachilleres High School, and the public kindergarten. Further past Isla Retreats, you will find Isla Mujeres in all its authenticity: family run convenience stores, mercaditos with fresh juices, fruits, and vegetables, and an array of local and foreign owned and operated boutique restaurants showcasing mouthwatering fusions of international, Caribbean, and Mexican cuisine, such as, award winning Rosa’s Sirena, Mango Cafe, Caribbean Brisas, Caribbean Garden, Isla Village, Kash Keken Chuc Chicken, and one of the personal favorites: Aurora - featuring Minnesotan turned Isleño Chef Nicholas Altringer.

On-site parking is available for golf carts next to the security guard’s office. The island’s main grocery store, Chedruai - where you can find imported food items, a bakery, and a nice selection of wines and liquors - is a mere few blocks away. Directly across the street from the property is a “tiendita” corner store that offers beer, soft drinks, ice, eggs, and many other basic groceries. We also have an on-site generator that can power the entire property, including all air conditioners if needed.

Terms
Cancellation:
Our cancellation policy is: A full credit, or a refund (minus a 5% processing fee of the total reservation) will be given if the reservation is cancelled 30 days or more prior to the arrival date. Cancelations 30 days or less will be addressed on a case by case basis. If a credit is issued, it must be used within one year of the arrival date of the original reservation.
Keys and Beach towels:
You may collect your keys from our on-site office. Full details of key collection and how to enter the villa and other details will be supplied at time of your final payment. There will be a $30 USD charge for lost keys and $20 USD charge for lost beach towels.
Children:
Villas at Isla Retreats is an adult-only vacation rental. All renters must be at least 21 years of age.
Pets:
We do not allow clients to bring pets to the villas.
Smoking:
We require smoking to be done in the outside areas.
Housekeeping:
Housekeeping is available upon request.
Damages:
While normal wear and tear is considered acceptable, we will charge for damage to the fabric of the villas or the fixtures and furnishings. We reserve the right to request a damage deposit of $500 when booking, this deposit will be returned no more than 15 days after you leave the property and provided no damage has been reported to us by our agents. Any damages left by your party will be paid for from the $500 deposit and any balance will be returned to you within 15 days of you vacating the property. We also reserve the right to charge for additional cleaning if the property is not left in a reasonable condition.
Liability:
Payment of your deposit is deemed as full and final acceptance of our Terms & Conditions for Villas at Isla Retreats. As part of these booking conditions you are undertaking to indemnify the owners and agents of Villas at Isla Retreats against any claim for liability for loss of personal property or belongings, personal injury or death or any claim whatsoever resulting from your residence Villas at Isla Retreats.
